Jeanne Brasile moderates a conversation with artists Travis LeRoy Southworth, Gianluca Bianchino, Lorrie Fredette, and Shoshanna Weinberger. They discuss artists and their day jobs. Labor, both in and out of the studio, is a seldom discussed topic. The artists delved into how they negotiate the reality of balancing the space/time/work conundrum, and how these concerns inadvertently or intentionally shape their artistic practices.

Gelah Penn discusses intertextuality, film noir, and Samuel Richardson with Moacir. Penn’s show, Uneasy Terms, opens on Thursday, February 13, at 6pm.

Travis LeRoy Southworth discusses how one’s “day job” and artistic practice can be indelibly intertwined, and Moacir and Adriana ask about the underlying order of both the cosmos and cosmetics. Travis’s show, I Am a Portrait, opens on Friday, January 10, at 6pm.
