Artist Rodney Dickson speaks with Undercurrent’s Adriana Furlong about his show, Rodney Dickson Paintings 2009–2019, which opens Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at 6pm at Undercurrent, 70 John St., Brooklyn.
The show presents three different aspects of Dickson’s creative interests. The large paintings (8ft x 5ft) are paired with smaller works (2ft x 2ft) as well as 22 of the artist’s sketchbooks and the immense installation or painting or sculpture Shanty Town, never before exhibited.
The show closes on Sept. 28.
